Cabinet division today (April 1) rejected the recommendation of a holiday on April 9 ahead of Eid. 

The decision was taken at the Cabinet division meeting led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

On Sunday, the Cabinet Committee on Law and Order recommended extending the Eid-ul-Fitr holiday by one more day to make the journeys of homebound people free from hassle.

Expecting that Eid-ul-Fitr will fall on April 11, the government earlier declared April 10-12 as Eid vacation.
