DHAKA: Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chauwdhury and Deputy Speaker Col (retd) Shawkat Ali expressed their profound shock at the death of former chief justice and former adviser of caretaker government Habibur Rahman.

They expressed their condolence Sunday morning.

In the condolence message, they said that the country has lost an eminent person after the death of Habibur Rahman.

The country will always remember him all time on its different critical moments, the message added.

Habibur Rahman’s razor-sharp writings will contribute to strengthen democratic exercise to the grassroots level. These will also create mass awareness to face the social hostility.

The Speaker and Deputy Speaker also prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
