DHAKA: A total of 48 members, including ministers, state ministers and deputy ministers of the new cabinet, were sworn in on Sunday afternoon.
President M Abdul Hamid administered the oath at Bangabhaban, official residence cum office of the president, around 3:45pm.
The ministers are AMA Muhith, Amir Hossain Amu, Tofail Ahmed, Nurul Islam Nahid, Hasanul Haq Inu, Khandaker Mosharraf, Syed Ashraful Islam, Shahjahan Khan, Mohammad Nasim, Syed Mohsin Ali, Professor Matiur Rahman Motiya Chowdhury, Obaidul Quader, Rashed Khan Menon, Asaduzzaman Nur, Abul Kalam Azad, Advocate Anisul Haque, Anwar Hossaion Manju, Mostafizur Rahman Fizar, Engineer Mosharraf Hossain, Mojibul Haque Chunnu, Shamsur Rahman Sharif, AHM Mostafa Kamal and Abdul Latif Sidiqui.
The state ministers are Meher Afroz Chumki, Mofazzal Hossain Maya, Shahriar Alam, Mirza Azam, Junayed Ahmed Palak, Ismat Ara Sadek, Moshiur Rahman Ranga, Nasrul Hamidul Haque Bipu, MA Mannan, Sayedul Haque, Zahid Malik, Bir Bahdur, Emajuddin Pramanik, Yeafesh Osman, Narayan Chandra, Biren Sikdar, Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Saifuzzaman Chowdhury, AKM Mojammel Haque and Promod Mankin.
Besides, deputy ministers are Arif Khan Joy and Abdullah Al Islam Jacob.
A total of 31 new faces joined the cabinet with some of those who performed their role as the ministers of the polls-time government.
Of them, 29 full ministers, 17 state ministers and two deputy ministers took the oath.
Foreign diplomats joined in the oath-taking ceremony as earlier they decided.
Cabinet Secretary M Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan conducted the oath taking ceremony.
