The government has appointed Major General (Retd.) Siddiqur Rahman Sarkar as the chairman of Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK)

He has been appointed on contractual basis for the next two years.

The contract and foreign recruitment wing of Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this regard on Thursday (April 4).

The notification signed by Joint Secretary Ashraful Alam by order of the President said, “According to Section 4(2) of The Town Improvement Act, 1953, Retired Major General Siddiqur Rahman Sarkar has been contractually appointed to the post of Chairman of Capital Development Authority (RAJUK) for the next two years from the date of joining the government on the condition of severing working relationship with other institutions and organizations.”
