The fire that broke out at Shishu Hospital in Agargaon area of the capital on Friday (April 19) has been brought under control after 52 minutes of effort.

Fire Service Control Room Duty Officer Lima Khanam confirmed the matter.

She said that the fire originated at around 1:45pm. After that five units of firefighters rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control at 2:39 pm.

Initially, the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage were not known, she said, adding apart from this, no casualties were reported in the fire.
