DHAKA: Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu on Sunday said it is the responsibility of the state to create scope for children and adolescents to flourish their talents.
The information minister made the observation while unwrapping two books of a student of class eight at the Nazrul Mancha at Ekushey Book Fair of Bangla Academy in the city.
Meem Noshin Nawal Khan has written the books--Kheya Ebong ...and Matshakumari Rajkanya.
Inu applauded the talent of Meem. “Her achievement will flourish the country to the international arena,” he said.
The lawmaker said, “She had earlier written five more books, all of which highlight the dreams of children in society.”
Meem, a student of class eight of Viqarunnisa Noon School, earlier received UNICEF Meena Award, Oitijjha Gollachhut Story Writing Award and British Council Hay Festival Award 2013. She is also working at banglanews, the leading online news portal of the country, as a newsroom editor.
Her five other books are Kanak Chapa, Swapnapuri, Buker Bhetor Nupur, Rupar Nupur and Ekjon Class Captainer Diary which have already drawn appreciation of the readers.
