The driver of the bus ‘Raida Paribahan’ that killed a senior engineer of the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) Maidul Islam has been arrested. 

RAB-1 and RAB-8 jointly conducted a drive and arrested bus driver Hasan from Hizla of Barishal today (April 20). 

The CABB engineer was killed as the bus hit him while he was riding his motorcycle on the airport road near the third terminal of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Friday.

According to police sources, engineer Maidul sustained severe injuries as the bus struck him first and then collided with the boundary wall of the third terminal. He was rescued and taken to Kurmitola General Hospital immediately, where an on-duty doctor declared him dead.

Meanwhile, RAB-1 will brief the media regarding the arrest at Uttara in the capital this afternoon.
