ASHULIA, DHAKA: US Ambassador to Dhaka Dan W Mozena expressed hope that Bangladesh would be the largest readymade garments exporter in the world.

The US diplomat came up with the assertion while addressing a sports and cultural function of Daffodil University marking the 12th anniversary at Ashulia of the city on Saturday.

Dan Mozena said the environment of Bangladesh is such a fertile land where three times good harvest is possible in a year and huge natural gas and various minerals are also reserved here.

The US envoy said though Bangladesh is a densely populated country, it is going to expose as next economic tiger of Asia.
 
With University Trusty Board Chairman Sabur Khan in the chair, the function was also addressed, among others, by Vice-chancellor Dr M Lutfar Rahman.
