JESSORE: At least seven primary students were killed and several others injured in a road accident at Chaugachha upazila of the district on Saturday night.

The deceased could not be identified immediately but the deceased were the students of Benapole Primary School, said a spot account of the accident.

Witnesses said the students carrying picnic bus plunged into a roadside ditch as its driver lost control over steering in Jhautola area of the upazila around 8:30pm while returning from Mujibnagar of Meherpur district, leaving seven students dead on the spot.
