BANDARBAN: Two minors drowned in a pond in Repar Para of Choikhang union under Ali Kadam upazila of the district on Saturday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Noor Jannat, 7, daughter of Shafayet and Kajol, 5, daughter of Nabi Hossain.

Union Parisad Chairman Joynal Abedin said the victims went to take bath on the bank around 2:00pm and at one stage, slipping from the bank, they fell into water.

Later, seeing the bodies’ locals informed the families.

Officer-in-Charge of Ali Kadam Thana Mohammad Hossain told banglanews that they were not informed the matter.
