COX’S BAZAR: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, also ruling Awami League president, is set to visit the district on Sunday noon.

According to tour schedule, the premier is likely to arrive in Cox’s Bazar around 12:30pm. Then, the Prime Minister will inaugurate newly-built Sheikh Kamal International Stadium and Sports Complex at 2:15pm.

Besides, Sheikh Hasina also will inaugurate newly-approved private university naming Cox’s Bazar International University.

Later, after addressing a rally at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium at 2:30pm, the PM will leave Cox’s Bazar for Dhaka at 5:00pm.

Member of the Parliament of Cox’s Bazar-3 constituency Saimum Sarwar Komol told banglanews, “The Prime Minister gave many things to Cox’s Bazar people. She laid foundation stone of various projects including rail line, Oceanographic research institute in Cox` Baza. Work of the projects is moving rapidly.”

Cox’s Bazar Additional Police Super Tofayel Ahmed said that following the visit of Prime Minister, tight security measures have been taken.
