DHAKA: Chinese Prime Minister Li Ke Qiang on Monday congratulated Sheikh Hasina for assuming office of the Prime Minister.

He said, “Sheikh Hasina, Prime Minister Government of the People`s Republic of Bangladesh Dhaka, on the occasion of your assuming office of the Prime Minister, I would like to extend, on behalf of the Chinese Government and people and in my own name, the warm congratulations and best wishes to you.”

China and Bangladesh are close and friendly neighbors. In recent years, sound progress has been made in the all-area cooperation between China and Bangladesh by the joint efforts of both sides, he added.

Li Ke Qiang also added: “I would like to join hands with you, to advance continuously China-Bangladesh comprehensive and cooperative partnership to a new stage.”

May Bangladesh enjoy prosperity and its people well being. May you enjoy good health and every success in your work, he said.
