DHAKA: A police constable was shot by miscreants in front of Gulshan Shooting Club in the capital on Monday night.

The victim was identified as Shakhwat Hossain, a police constable of Gulshan Thana.

Police sources said that miscreants shot Shakhwat in the area around 8:30pm, leaving him critically injured.

Later, the injured was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Confirming the matter to banglanews Officer-in-Charge of Gulshan Thana Rafiqul Islam said necessary actions will be taken in this regard after an investigation.
