LONDON: Bangladesh issue is going to be discussed in the Parliament of the United Kingdom on Thursday like in the European parliament.
Sources said that the discussion will be held ongoing politics, just-concluded election, formation of new government and attacks on minority communities in Bangladesh.
Parliament sources also said that chair of All-party Parliamentary Group on Bangladesh Anne Main will place the debate in the UK parliament at 11:30am (GMT).
Members of British Parliament from all parties including two MPs elected from Bengali-inhabited constituencies Rushanara Ali and Jim Fitzpatrick will join in the two-hour-long debate.
Later, Simon Danczuk will brief journalists about the outcome of the debate in the House of Commons at around 2:00pm.
A reliable source closed to Anne Main MP told that British government’s stance on Bangladesh will be cleared in the press briefing.
Besides, the European Parliament (EP) is scheduled to see a debate on recent Bangladesh elections at its debate chamber in Strasbourg France on Thursday.
According to the European Parliament, the debate will focus on fundamental freedoms, human rights and democracy in general in Bangladesh.
