DB arrests 13 more AL men in Dhaka 

The Detective Branch (DB) of police has arrested 13 more leaders and activists of the banned Awami League (AL) and its affiliated organizations from different parts of Dhaka in the last 24 hours.

According to a police press release, they were arrested for their alleged involvement in deteriorating law and order by bringing out anti-government flash processions in various parts of the capital.

The arrestees have been identified as: AL Central Executive Committee Member Muhammad Anisur Rahman (57); Khilkhet Thana Chhatra League Vice-President Kazi Ainul Asif (26); former chairman of Bankra Union under Jhikargachha Upazila of Jessore and Bankra Union AL Joint General Secretary Mohammad Nisar Ali (55); Dhaka City South Sutrapur Thana Awami Matsyajibi League Joint General Secretary and Sutrapur Thana No. 44 Ward Begumganj Unit AL Vice-President Md. Aminul Haque Faisal (45); Chhatra League activist Md. Akash (25); Dhaka South City Legal Affairs Secretary Md. Mursalin Talukder (34); AL activist Md. Ripon (38); Barguna District Amtoli Upazila Chhatra League former President and Amtoli Upazila AL member Md. Mahbubul Islam (34); Barguna District Amtoli Upazila Women Awami League President and Amtoli Upazila AL member Nusrat Jahan Lima (46); Dhaka University Sir AF Rahman Hall’s former Chhatra League Organizing Secretary and Muktijuddho Manch Central Committee President ASM Al Sonet (36); Lalbagh Thana Chhatra League former Vice-President Md. Belal Hossain Tuhin (29); Manikganj Municipality Awami League President Md. Arshed Ali Biswas (57); and Titumir College Chhatra League former Vice-President Abhimunya Biswas Abhi (35).

Police said the arrestees are accused in multiple cases on specific charges.
