DHAKA: At least five people sustained burn injuries in a gas pipe line explosion of a house in city’s Pragati Sarani area on early Saturday.

One of the victims said an explosion occurred in the gas pipe line while he was lighting a cigarette in the house of the area around 12:00am, leaving five people of the house burnt critically.

The injured were rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Assistant Sub-Inspector of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-3) M Ismail confirmed the matter to banglanews.
