MANIKGANJ: The ferry services on Paturia-Daulatia river route resumed on Saturday morning after five and half hour disruption due to poor visibility caused by dense fog.

Sources said that using ten Ro-Ro ferries and two K-type ferries, the authorities was trying to keep continue the ferry services.

Confirming the matter, Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) Paturia Ghat Assistant manager Salauddin Rasel (commerce) told banglanews, “The ferry link on the river route resumed around 9:30am after fog cleared.”

Besides, more than five hundred vehicles still remained stranded at the ferry terminals, he added.
