A joint team of the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID), APBn and NSI seized around 1.979 kilograms of gold from a Cabin Crew at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Tuesday night.

Addl SP of the APBn Ziaul Hasan confirming the matter said that Miss Rokeya Khatun, a Cabin Crew of the SV-804 flight of Saudi Airlines that landed at the airport at 22:05 on Tuesday, was carrying the gold in her possession.

The seized gold has been deposited in the customs warehouse.

Rokeya was handed over to the Airport police station and a case was filed against her in this regard, Ziaul added.
