DHAKA: The first phase of upazila elections will be held in mid February.

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Rakibuddin Ahmed made the disclosure while talking to journalists after an inter-ministerial meeting at Election Commission secretariat on Saturday afternoon.   

He said: “We have taken initiatives for polls as per law since tenure of some upazila chairman’s will expire soon.”
