Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today (June 1) predicted light to moderate rainfall with temporary gusty wind with moderately heavy falls at different places over the country.
According to the BMD weather bulletin, light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions, at a few places over Rajshahi, Khulna and Chattogram divisions and at one or two places over Dhaka and Barisal divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9am this morning.
Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it added.
Country's maximum temperature on Friday was recorded 35.5 degrees Celsius at Khepupara and today's minimum temperature 24.5 degrees Celsius was recorded at Dimla.
Rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6am today was recorded 26mm at Chattogram.
The sun sets at 6:42 pm today and rises at 5:12 am tomorrow in the capital.
