DHAKA: The first Executive Committee of National Economic Council (ECNEC) meeting ofnew government is underway on Sunday morning.

With Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair the meeting has started at around 10:00am in capital’s Sher-e-Bangla Nagar NEC conference room.

Meeting sources said that 13 projects involving Tk 7,735 crores are set to be placed at the first ECNEC of new government for approval.

After forming new government, the ECNEC was reconstituted.

New ECNEC members are Commerce Minister Tofayel Ahmed, Telecommunication Minister Abdul Latif Siddiki, Industry Affairs Minister Amir Hossain Amu, Minister Of Housing and Public Works Minister Engineer Mosharraf Hossain, Water Resources Minister Anisul Islam Mahmud, Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal and Minister of Finance MA Mannan.
