FROM DINAJPUR: The road march motorcade of Gonojagoron Moncho is now on the way to Thakurgaon on Sunday.

After staying night at Dinajpur Shilpokala Academy, the marchers started the march at 10:00am to visit the affected area of Goria in Thakurgaon district.

They will distribute relief goods there among the victims.

Later, the road march convoy will leave the district for Dhaka after holding a rally in Thakurgaon Central Sheheed Minar.

On January 6, in post-election violence, activists of BNP and its main ally Jamaat-e-Islami allegedly attacked the Hindu community and Awami League men in eight villages under Sadar upazila, leaving 15 people injured.

The attackers also vandalised and looted a number of houses and shops belonging to the ruling party men and Hindus.

Besides, a Hindu temple and idols of their goddess were vandalized during the mayhem.
