Nayeemul Islam Khan has been appointed as Press Secretary to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

A gazette notification was issued in this regard by the Ministry of Public Administration, on Thursday (June 6).

According to notification, Nayeemul Islam Khan has been contractually appointed as Press Secretary to the Prime Minister with the rank of Secretary to the Government, a salary of Tk 78,000, and government benefits.

The post fell vacant after the death of Prime Minister's Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim on March 10.
