DHAKA: Mukhisa Kituyi, Secretary-General of UNCTAD (United Nations Conference on Trade and Development) congratulated Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for her re-election as the Prime Minister of Bangladesh.

The UNCTAD chief congratulated Hasina in a letter sent to foreign ministry on Wednesday.

In this regard, the Secretary General appreciated the strong support extended to the organization by the Government of Bangladesh, and the efforts of the country to ensure prosperity for all through sustainable development and inclusive growth.

In the same message, he iterated UNCTAD’s readiness to continue its mutually beneficial cooperation with the Government of Bangladesh.
