DHAKA: Communications Minister Obaidul Quader Wednesday said immediate action will be taken if any allegation of irregularities against the officials of Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) is proved.

Obaidul Quader said this at a meeting with BRTA officials at its headquarters in the city.

He said, “BRTA will have to be kept free from brokers, and quick steps will be taken if any allegation of irregularities is proved against any official.”

The minister said a public welfare-oriented guideline will be framed for further development of the communications sector.
