Ferry services resume after 7-hr

MANIKGANJ: Ferry services on Paturia-Daulatdia water way resumed on Thursday morning after a 7-hour halt due to poor visibility caused by dense fog.

The ferry services have started from 7:30am.

Earlier, the authority declared stopped the ferry service at 12:30am due to poor visibility.

Confirming the matter, Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) Paturia Ferry Ghat Assistant Manager Salauddin Russell (commercial) told banglanews, “The vehicles on stuck ferries in the mid of the river have started to move towards their destinations at around 7:30am.

Besides, more than four hundred vehicles are still remained stranded at Paturia and Daulatdia ferry terminals, he added.
