SYLHET: At least 18 Ijtema-bound devotees sustained injuries in a road accident on Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Bhairab Upazila of Kishoreganj on Thursday morning.
Sources said that a bus hit the pilgrims-laden bus from behind in the area at around 4:00am, leaving 18 people injured.
A passenger of the bus told banglanews that the injured were given first aid and critically injured two were sent to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital.
Earlier on Wednesday night, the bus left Jaintapur Upazila Sadar for Tongi Ijtema ground.
