DHAKA: President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai congratulated Sheikh Hasina on the assumption of the office of the Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.

The congratulations came from a message sent to External Publicity Wing of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday.

President Hamid Karzai, in his message, hoped that the existing friendly relations between Afghanistan and Bangladesh would continue to be strengthened and further consolidated.
