DHAKA: Iyad Ameen Madani, Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) congratulated the Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for her re-election.

In the message, he hoped that under her wise and far-sighted leadership, the people of Bangladesh will witness broad unity and consolidation in the coming years, said a press release of the foreign ministry.

The Secretary General expressed his deep interest to work closely with the Bangladesh Prime Minister on issues of mutual interest and concern.

The Secretary General added that that OIC stood ready to extend all possible support to Bangladesh in its endeavors for political unity, economic progress and social stability.
