CHANDPUR: Two people were killed and two others injured in a road accident at Hajiganj upazila of the district on Thursday noon.

The deceased were identified as Sumon Jomader, 30, son of one late Noab Ali, and Biplob Paul, 35, son of a late Prokash Paul, hailed from Chandpur Sadar upazila.

The injured were rushed to Hajiganj Upazila Health Complex.

Police sources said a Chandpur-bound bus rammed a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Bakila area of the upazila, leaving two people, including the auto-rickshaw driver dead on the spot and two others injured.

Officer-in-Charge of Hajiganj Thana confirmed the matter to banglanews.
