A Dhaka court today (Sep 2) granted 5-day remand to Dhaka-7 former parliamentarian Hazi Selim in Ideal college student Saifullah murder case.
Dhaka metropolitan magistrate Akhtaruzzaman granted the remand.
On this day, the investigating officer of the case, Deputy Inspector (SI) of Lalbagh police station, Akkas Mia produced Hazi Selim in the court and applied for a 10-day remand.
After the hearing details, the judge granted his five-day remand for quizzing.
Earlier on Sunday (Sep 1) at midnight, a team of detective police arrested him from Banshal area of Old Dhaka.
Khalid Hasan Saifullah, a first year student of Ideal College, was shot dead in Lalbagh's Azimpur government residential area during the anti-discrimination student movement on July 18.
Later, on August 19, father Kamrul Hasan filed a murder case at Lalbagh police station, against 52 people including former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Hazi Selim.
