The investigation agency has submitted a full report to the International Crimes Tribunal, accusing eight people in connection with the Chankharpul mass killing case during the anti-discrimination student movement in the capital.

This is the first full report submitted to the tribunal over the July-August killings on Monday (April 21).

Former Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Habibur Rahman has been named as the prime accused. The list also includes then DMP Joint Commissioner Sudip Kumar Chakraborty.

The arrested accused in the case are Inspector Arshad, Constable Md Sujon, Constable Imaje Hossain Iman, and Constable Nasirul Islam.

At a press conference at the prosecutor’s office, Chief Prosecutor Tazul Islam said this was the first complete investigation report on the July-August genocide.
