The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast that the weather across the country will remain mainly dry with a partly cloudy sky over the next 24 hours starting from 9 AM today.
However, isolated rain or thundershowers accompanied by lightning and gusty winds may occur in one or two places in Mymensingh, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions.
A mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping over Rajshahi and Khulna divisions, as well as Manikganj, Tangail, Faridpur, Gopalganj, Dinajpur, and Nilphamari districts, and it may persist.
Jashore recorded the highest temperature at 39.8°C, while the lowest, 21.2°C, was reported at Dimla in Rangpur. Sylhet experienced the highest rainfall with 50 mm in the last 24 hours.
