A Dhaka court today ordered the attachment of immovable properties worth around Tk 15.77 crore and the freezing of nine bank accounts of sacked Major General Ziaul Ahsan over graft allegations.

The properties are located in Dhaka, Narayanganj, Barishal, and Jhalakathi, while the bank accounts reportedly contain Tk 1.28 crore.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib passed the order following a petition by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC). 

The ACC stated that Ahsan had allegedly tried to sell the properties and transfer funds, prompting the commission to seek the freeze and attachment for further investigation.
