A Dhaka court today ordered the attachment of immovable properties belonging to Sheikh Rehana, Saima Wazed Putul, Sajeeb Wazed Joy, Radwan Mujib Siddique, and Azmina Siddique in Dhaka, Khulna, and Gopalganj over graft allegations.
Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib passed the order following a plea from the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), which also sought the appointment of a receiver to oversee the properties.
The attached assets include a Tk 4.98 crore house of Putul in Gulshan and several plots of land in Khulna and Gopalganj owned by the individuals.
The ACC argued that the accused were attempting to transfer or sell the properties, which could obstruct the ongoing investigation.
