The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecast rain or thundershowers with temporary gusty winds across the country over the next 24 hours, beginning Monday morning (July 14).

In a bulletin issued at 9:00am, the Met office said light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely to occur in most parts of Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions.

Moderately heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in some areas of Dhaka, Khulna, and Barishal divisions.

Day and night temperatures may decrease slightly, by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius, across the country, the forecast added.

On Sunday, the highest temperature was recorded at 38.5°C in Sayedpur, Rangpur Division, while the minimum temperature on Monday was 24°C in Tangail.

In Dhaka, sunset is expected at 6:49 pm today, with sunrise at 5:19am on Tuesday (July 15).
