Members of Bangladesh police have arrested 1,492 people in a nationwide operation, including 925 suspects with pending cases and warrants.

A press release issued by Police Headquarters on Sunday confirmed the matter.

Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Enamul Haque Sagor said that the operation targeted various criminal activities across the country.

He said among those detained, 567 individuals were apprehended for other offenses. Law enforcement also seized illegal firearms, including shotguns and ammunition, during the raids.

Authorities have intensified security measures to curb criminal activities and maintain law and order. The crackdown is part of ongoing efforts to ensure public safety.
