The United States Embassy in Dhaka has issued a stern warning regarding visa fraud and illegal immigration, stating that individuals found guilty of such offences could face a permanent ban from entering the United States.
The warning came via an official Facebook post from the US Embassy Dhaka on Monday, where it said that the US government had launched a coordinated interagency effort to curb fraudulent practices and stop unlawful migration.
“The U.S. government has launched a coordinated interagency effort to combat fraud and end illegal immigration,” the statement read. “Those found guilty of visa fraud will face permanent bans from entering the United States.”
The embassy further said that newly introduced visa restrictions would also apply to individuals and even foreign government entities found to be facilitating illegal immigration.
US authorities have repeatedly warned that involvement in fraudulent visa applications — including the use of fake documents, false information, or facilitation of unauthorized migration — could lead to serious legal consequences and long-term travel restrictions.
