A Dhaka court has ordered the freezing of 38 bank accounts belonging to former Air Force Chief Sheikh Abdul Hannan, his wife Tahmida Begum, and son Sheikh Labir Hannan.

Senior Special Judge of the Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Court Md Zakir Hossain Galib passed the order following a petition submitted by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

ACC Deputy Director (DD) Public Relations Aktarul Islam told the media that a three member inquiry committee has been investigating the allegations against former air chief and his family members.

The ACC warned that the accused were attempting to transfer assets, making recovery difficult without immediate action. An inquiry is ongoing.
