The 126th birth anniversary of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam is being observed across the country today (May 25) through various programmes.

A three-day event themed "Mass Uprising of the 24: Inheritance of Kazi Nazrul" begins today in Cumilla.

The celebrations include cultural performances, poetry recitations, and the presentation of the Nazrul Awards for 2023 and 2024.

Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus paid tribute in a message today, highlighting Nazrul’s enduring influence on the nation’s struggles and cultural legacy.
