Justice Md Akhtaruzzaman of the High Court (HC) Division has submitted his resignation today amid an ongoing inquiry by the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC).
A notification posted on the Supreme Court website said Justice Akhtaruzzaman submitted his signed resignation letter to the President through the Chief Justice.
The Supreme Judicial Council had concluded the final hearing regarding Justice Akhtaruzzaman on August 26.
