GOPALGANJ:  A court here on Sunday granted a three-day remand for quizzing Harkatul Jihad (HuJi) leader Mufti Hannan in Baniarchar bomb explosion case.

Gopalganj Senior Judicial Magistrate Molla Saiful Alam passed the order as the investigation officer made a 10-day remand plea.

The court will hear the case on August 8.

The explosion killed 10 people and left around 50 injured at the church of Baniarchar in Muksudpur upazila on June 3 in 2001.

Two cases were filed with Muksudpur thana in this connection.
