Cop killing case: accused sent to jail

PABNA: A district court on Friday sent Nader Pramanik and Wahed Ali, the accused of killing three policemen, to jail.

Earlier on Thursday police arrested them from Sujanagar and Bera areas of the district for their alleged involvement in the murder of three cops at remote Dhalar Char Bazar area of Bera thana of Pabna.

Investigation officer and OC of Bera Thana Shiekh Zillur Rahman told banglanews24.com.bd that the court sent them to jail after they had been produced before it at Friday noon.

“I also appealed for a 10-day remand to interrogate them,” said Zillur Rahman.

On Tuesday, three police personnel- Sub-inspector Kafil Uddin, Nayek Abdul Wahed and constable Shafique Ahmed of Dhalarchar police camp were shot dead by outlaws in Bera area.
