MADARIPUR: A schoolboy was crushed under the wheels of a human-hauler, localy kown as Nasiman, at Daulatpur in Shibchar upazila Sunday night.

The deceased was identified as Al-Amin,8, son of Tota Bepari, and a class II student of Mridhakanti Primary School.

Highway police surgent Md Asadul Islam said a Kawrakandi-bound Nasiman ran over Al-Amin while crossing the road in Daulatpur area.

Police seized the Nachiman.

Enraged by the accident, a mob blockaded the Dhaka-Khulna Highway, suspending traffic on the road for about half-an-hour.

On information, police rushed in and quelled the situation.
