NARSINGDI:  At least three people were burnt on Monday in a fire at Ghorashal power plant.

Chief Engineer of the plant, Tamal Chakrabarty told banglanews24.com.bd that the fire originated at around 10am during a repairing work. The in-plant fire brigade brought the fire under control fast, but three on-duty electricians were burnt.

The burnt Rajib Biswas, Kabir Hossain and Shahbuddin Palash were primarily sent to upazila health centre, but forwarded to Dhaka Medical College Hospital later.

Earlier on Saturday, unit-4 of the plant was shut following technical error.

Tamal Chakrabarty assured that the plant would supply 100 MW power from Monday.
