DHDKA: The government elevated RAB chief Hasan Mahmud Khondoker to Inspector General of Bangladesh Police in a top-level shakeup in the two law-enforcing agencies.

Home Secretary Abdus Sobhan disclosed the changes to journalists at the Secretariat Monday.

An official notification has been issued in this regard.

Sobhan said IGP Nur Mohammad has been placed under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for a diplomatic assignment. “He will be+ made Ambassador,” he added.

A RAB source said Deputy Inspector General of Rajshahi Range Mokhlesur Rahman has been appointed director general of the elite-force Rapid Action Battalion.
