DHAKA: Dhaka Metropolitan Police offered to assist any individual or institution during transaction of big amounts of money with banks or financial organizations to avert mugging amid Eid rush.

“Money transactions will increase for trading during the holy month of Ramadan and ahead of Eid. DMP will help those individuals or institutions for ensuring their security as per their demand,” said a release signed by DMP Commissioner Shahidul Haque Saturday.

“In this regard, the police escort-seeking individual or institution will have to arrange transport,” the city police said.

Those in need of assistance have been requested to contact the local police stations or police control room on telephone and cell phones. The contact numbers are: 966 5407, 861 6553, 861 4300 and 0171 339 8311.
