JOYPURHAT: Members of Rapid Action Battalion arrested a suspected member of banned militant outfit Allar Dal from Sadullapur upazila of Gaibandha district early Saturday.

The arrested is named as Nurunnabi, 45, of Sadullapur upazila.

Acting on a tip-off, a special team of Rab-5, led by DAD Abdus Samad, raided West Krishanidanga village at around 5 am and held Nurunnabi from there, said Joypurhat camp commander Alamgir Hossain.

RAB sources said Nurunnabi was an active member of banned Islamist outfit JMB and later joined Allar Dal.
