IGP leaves for France to attend anti-terror meet

DHAKA: New Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Hasan Mahmud Khondakar left for Paris Sunday on a 5-day official visit to attend an anti-terrorism global meet.

A police headquarters statement said the IGP would deliver his speech in an international seminar on ‘Global Terrorism’.

Member-countries of the International Police Organization (Interpol) would take part in the seminar where issues of further cooperation and exchange of information among the member-states to curb terrorism would be discussed.

The police boss is expected to return home on September 24.
