TANGAIL: A lover couple allegedly committed suicide by hanging themselves with one rope at Chakdia Bari village in Ghatail upazila of the district on Tuesday.

Of the deceased, one was identified as Rusel, 20, son of Fazlul Haque of the area, however, the identity of another one could not be known immediately after the incident.

Sources said the couple worked at a garment factory in Gazipur and they made love affairs between them for last five years.

On Monday night, the girl came to Rusel’s house and they allegedly committed suicide by hanging themselves with one rope.

In the morning, family members called Rusel but he did not respond. Later, they informed police.

On information, police rushed in and recovered the bodies breaking the door and sent them to Tangail General Hospital morgue.

Officer-in-Charge of Ghatail Thana Fazlul Kabir confirmed the matter to banglanews.
